PP-1
This first ACI Publication for Practitioners (PP-1) combines ACI Committee 305's report, "Hot Weather Concreting (ACI 305-91)," with material previously published in Concrete International Magazine and ACI Committee E-703's Slabs on Grade (CCS-1). It presents practical information on concrete that should be useful to all those involved in the concrete construction process. Contractors, technicians, engineers, and students will all benefit from the information compiled herein. This material deals mainly with the basics of concreting in hot weather, the information presented should be used as a guide to good practice, but remember that the plans and specifications for a construction project must be followed even if they vary somewhat from the information in this publication.
