This book is the proceedings of the tenth biennial conference of the British Dam Society, held at the University of Wales in Bangor in 1998 and includes papers on: the use of risk analysis in the safety management and maintenance of dams; flood control; environmental issues; sedimentation problems; management, performance and rehabilitation of aging dams; investigations of internal erosion; and case histories of remedial works to control leakage.
