These proceedings, Hydraulic Engineering '94, contain summaries of the papers presented at the 1994 National Conference on Hydraulic Engineering, held in Buffalo, New York, August 1-5, 1994. The overall Conference theme dealt with the quantification of human impacts on our water resources. The papers contained in these proceedings deal with a range of topics traditional to hydraulic engineering, as well as Great Lakes water resources issues and the application of geographical information systems and expert systems in hydraulic engineering. The traditional topics include: 1) Hydraulics of mountain rivers; 2) sedimentation and scour; 3) stormwater runoff and floods; 4) fate and transport of contaminants in the water environment; 5) design of hydraulic structures; 6) physical and mathematical modeling; and 7) groundwater hydrology and hydraulics. |
