Chemical Industry Flanges and Threaded Stubs for Use with Lens Gaskets

This MSS Standard pertains to cast and forged steel flanges (welding neck and straight threaded) and threaded stubs specially designed for end connections making use of lens gaskets. These flanges should only be used with the lens gasket which is specified in this standard. This standard is similar in intent to ASME/ANSI B16.5, but covers a higher pressure class and lens gasket type connection.
