It contains 33 chapters that cover a wide range of the latest in materials and corrosion technology. Each chapter includes an introduction, which summarizes the current state of the art on the specific topic, followed by pertinent reference summaries. The references cover the period from 1948 to 1997. The first paragraph of each reference summary describes the scope of the paper, followed by the major conclusions.
