This book contains a selection of scientific work presented in the session on coatings held during the 1996 EUROCORR conference. The focus is on the research developments in the frame of corrosion protection coatings for industrial use. The book is divided into four sections describing organic coatings, zinc coatings, other metallic coatings, and ceramic coatings. Electrochemical techniques for the testing of organic coatings, metal surface preparation, and coating adhesion are discussed, as well as the various metal deposition techniques for the production of corrosion resistant coatings of nickel, aluminum, and zinc alloys.
