$45.00

Work with the latest facts so fire special effects won't pose threats to life and property!

This Standard provides requirements for the protection of the audience, support personnel, performers, the operator, assistants and property where flame effects are used. Criteria apply to all aspects, including design, fabrication, installation, testing, control, operation, and maintenance.

The 2006 edition of NFPA 160 incorporates the following changes:

  • New definitions clarify the design and operation of flame effects.
  • Clarified provisions for temporary and permanent flame effect installations
  • Added fire protection requirements for temporary installations.
  • New Model Inspection Checklist can be used at all stages of the process for both permanent and temporary installations.

Format revisions and editorial changes in the 2006 edition facilitate ease of use and enhance comprehension.
