NFPA 550(02)E
Guide to the Fire Safety Concepts Tree, 2002 Spanish Edition

2002 Edition, Approx. 17pp.
$47.00

NFPA 550 describes the structure, application, and limitations of the NFPA Fire Safety Concepts Tree. It is intended to provide tools to help fire safety practitioners (e.g. designers, engineers, code officials) communicate fire safety and protection concepts.

Use the Fire Safety Concepts Tree in conjunction with the application of sound fire protection engineering principles to:

  • Assist with the analysis of codes or standards
  • Facilitate the development of performance-based designs
  • Provide an overall structure with which to analyze the potential impact of fire safety strategies
  • Identify gaps and areas of redundancy in fire protection strategies as an aid in making fire safety decisions.

The 2002 edition of NFPA 550 has fine-tuned and enhanced the overall analytical methodology.
